EMA WPII is one of the motor design standards, which is mainly used to describe the motor's housing protection level and cooling method.
 
Introduction to NEMA Standards
NEMA (National Electrical Manufacturers Association) is the abbreviation of the American Motor Manufacturers Association. It has formulated a series of motor standards to ensure the uniformity of motor products in terms of performance, size, installation, etc. NEMA standards are widely used in North America and are gradually recognized worldwide.
 
Meaning of WPII
WP: stands for Weather Protected, which means that the motor has protection functions such as rain and dust.
II: Indicates that the motor's housing protection level is IP24, that is, the protection level for protection against solid foreign objects is level 2, and the protection level for protection against liquid intrusion is level 4. This means that the motor can prevent the intrusion of solid foreign objects and can resist splashing water from any direction.
